Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative operations for a Contract position based in Boca Raton, Florida. This part-time opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing recurring payroll cycles, maintaining accurate financial records, and coordinating essential office and project support tasks. The role requires strong organization, careful document handling, and the ability to work confidently across payroll and accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer weekly payroll processing for employees with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll documentation for active federal contract work, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Coordinate weekly 401(k) payroll-related activities and maintain supporting records.
- Enter vendor invoices each day, verifying dates and details carefully before recording transactions in the system.
- Receive and organize daily deliveries while maintaining smooth front-office support.
- Manage permitting activities and arrange building inspections to support project timelines.
- Track and provide certificates of insurance and maintain related documentation for operational needs. Requirements
- Experience handling full-cycle payroll with strong attention to deadlines and accuracy.
- Proficiency using QuickBooks Desktop for data entry and project setup.
- Background in payroll processing, including certified payroll reporting.
- Ability to enter vendor billing information accurately and maintain organized financial records.
- Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and administrative accounting support.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow document dates and supporting information precisely.
- Availability to work a part-time schedule of approximately 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
