This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Tampa, FL.
General Description :
The Payroll Specialist role ensures the accurate and compliant processing of the Firm's payroll using specialized software. This position supports payroll operations by maintaining data integrity and addressing employee inquiries. The Payroll Specialist works to ensure payroll practices meet government compliance.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Process payroll for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Accurate data entry of the HRIS/Payroll system. Apply Firm policies, processes, and procedures. Process payroll corrections as required; escalate issues to Payroll Manager. Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsible for accurately processing all wage garnishments, levies, and child support deductions. Generate and distribute payroll reporting as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with HR, finance, and employees to ensure seamless payroll operations. Address inquiries and research issues in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with regular audit of data entry records. Maintain accurate firmwide records. Special projects and duties assigned.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of payroll and basic accounting functions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to respond efficiently to requests while adhering to deadlines. Advanced data entry skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and analytical skills. Ability to be flexible and a team player. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to understand Firm business rules and applications. Confidentiality and diplomacy.
Required Qualifications & Education :
Bachelor's degree 3+ years payroll experience P referred
Qualifications & Education :
Workday payroll processing experience preferred within a high-volume team. Knowledge of AI tools, specifically
Co-Pilot Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
