What You'll Do Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for all company employees. Review and verify employee timesheets, hours worked, overtime, and payroll adjustments. Manage federal, state, and multi-state payroll tax processing, filings, and compliance requirements. Prepare and maintain payroll tax reports and ensure timely payment of all payroll tax liabilities. Process employee reimbursements and verify supporting documentation in accordance with company policies. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll files for reporting, auditing, and compliance purposes. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll-related issues. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, labor laws, and company policies. Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and payroll records as needed. Generate payroll reports and support management with payroll-related data and analysis. Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency, and reporting capabilities. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of payroll processing experience required. Experience processing multi-state payroll and payroll tax filings preferred. Experience in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or similar industries is a plus. Proficiency with payroll software systems; experience with Vista by Viewpoint is highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax compliance. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
