We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team at our Hialeah Central location . Job Summary The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for multiple corporations . This position reviews payroll data for compliance with company policies, prepares payroll reports, assists with payroll tax filings, and maintains strict confidentiality of employee payroll information. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to collaborate effectively with HR, accounting, and leadership teams . Minimum Requirements Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in Business, Human Resources, Payroll, or related field (or currently in progress). Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience preferred . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) . Experience with •UKG / Kronos Workforce Ready preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across assigned corporations in an accurate and timely manner. Review employee timecards and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Process payroll adjustments provided by the Human Resources Department. Prepare and transmit direct deposit payroll files . Review payroll reports including payroll registers, wage summaries, and related documentation, to ensure accurate record keeping. Compile and analyze payroll reports after each payroll cycle. Distribute payroll reports to accountants and designated staff for financial review and analysis. Maintain and update the annual payroll calendar , including timesheet submission deadlines and pay dates. Prepare journal entries related to payroll and budgets as needed. Assist with quarterly payroll tax preparation and filings . Assist with the preparation and distribution of annual W-2 forms . Support the automation and improvement of payroll systems and processes . Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and payroll procedures. Exercise good judgment when resolving payroll discrepancies and communicating with staff. Communicate effectively with staff, management, and cross-functional departments. Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information . Participate in team initiatives and contribute to departmental goals. Perform other payroll or administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Payroll processing experience required. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy . Knowledge of payroll reporting, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements . Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information . Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills . Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
