Description :
Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting Lead Time & Leave Specialist Georgia State University At Georgia State University, the Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting department issues more than 100,000 payments each year to approximately 15,000 faculty, staff, and student employees within the university. The Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting department is seeking to hire a Lead Time & Leave Specialist .

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This position will serve as a lead within GSU's Time and Absence team and will collaborate with departments to resolve Time and Absence issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Manage Time and Leave tickets
  • Analyze Time and Leave reports
  • Manage Time and Leave adjustments
  • Oversee system time and leave setup requests and resolve any related issues
  • Generate and distribute time and absence related reports.
  • Adjust work schedules, as requested by Department
  • Provide assistance to the Assistant Director
  • Research and answer departmental questions
  • Manage leave audits and other various audits.
  • Assist with the Clearance form process
  • Provide backup support for Time and Leave Specialists
  • Partner with HR & Payroll to help resolve Time and Absence related issues
  • Collaborate with Departments to resolve Time and Absence issues
  • Configure time clock user setup and troubleshoot non-technical time clock issues
  • Provide time clock training and prepare related documentation
  • Assist with the delivery of Time and Absence training
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Requires good interpersonal communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and managers. Good written communication skills are also required. Strong organizational skills and highly detail-orientated professional Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Preferred Requirements:
Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) A high degree of discretion, professional ethics, and judgment in confidential matters and information Ability to maintain composure and good judgment when dealing with deadlines, dissatisfied employees, or a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities as needed. Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
