Job Description
Job Summary The County Auditor's Office is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of County payroll on a bi-weekly basis including data entry, calculating, verifying information or data. Maintains and audits appropriate records to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of wage and benefit information to outside agencies. Duties Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain financial and payroll records. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll management Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and benefit calculations with attention to detail Handle confidential employee information responsibly while managing data entry tasks efficiently Assist with benefits administration and support inquiries related to payroll or HR. Solid understanding of employment law, labor law compliance, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts related to payroll management Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills and the ability to handle confidential information securely.
