Payroll Specialist (US) Decatur, IL 62526 $18.00

  • Friday | 8:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM Fully Onsite Overview Our team seeking a Payroll Specialist to support U.
S. and Canadian payroll operations in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and customer service skills. Responsibilities Process U.S. and Canadian payroll accurately and on time Support non-exempt payroll processing as backup support Prepare payroll tax forms including 941, W2, and T4 documentation Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and processing issues Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and timely Coordinate with management to ensure accurate payroll processing Maintain payroll records, SOPs, and documentation Support reporting, special projects, and process improvements Qualifications Minimum 3 years of office, accounting, or payroll experience Payroll processing experience preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Strong math, accounting, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and confidentiality required Technical Skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency required IBM (CICS & IMS) and MDM system knowledge preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods Occasional standing, bending, filing, and phone work required
