As our Payroll Accountant Specialist, you'll play an important part by supporting the people who make our work possible. Bridgeway values collaboration, growth, and excellent service. The role works closely with the Payroll Manager to coordinate all payroll functions. You'll serve as the primary back up for the Payroll Manager and assist with a variety of payroll and accounting tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, dependable, and eager to learn. Customer service is at the heart of this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Follow and uphold all organizational rules, policies, and procedures. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and Bridgeway standards. Coordinate biweekly payroll processing through Paycom. Maintain payroll databases, forms, and documentation. Create and update written procedures for key payroll tasks. Prepare payroll reports for external agencies (SSA, DCFS, DHS) and internal teams. Serve as back up to the Payroll Manager for all payroll functions. Reconcile monthly insurance invoices and upload payments. Support biweekly, quarterly, and year end payroll balancing. As assigned Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should bring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn. High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred. One to three years of payroll related experience preferred. Reliable transportation, valid drivers license Employment with Bridgeway is conditioned upon passing all required background checks.
