Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Harristown, IL. This role is an excellent fit for a payroll, accounting, or administrative professional who enjoys accuracy-focused work, employee support, and working in a fast-paced corporate payroll environment. The Payroll Specialist will support U.S. and Canadian payroll processing while helping employees and management resolve payroll-related questions. This position offers strong exposure to payroll operations, tax documentation, reconciliations, compliance, and cross-functional communication. Key Responsibilities Process U.S. and Canadian payroll accurately and within required deadlines. Troubleshoot payroll processing issues and provide timely support to employees and management. Complete payroll reconciliations, balancing activities, and payroll tax documentation, including Forms 941, W-2, T4, and related forms. Maintain secure and accurate payroll data in compliance with company policies and procedures. Create and update payroll process documentation, manuals, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with leadership, local management teams, and cross-functional partners to support payroll accuracy and process improvements.
