Job Description

The Payroll Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations in relation to payroll and insurance programs. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, document preparation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues efficiently and professionally. The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience. What You'll Be Doing Processes weekly and monthly Certified Payroll and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) reports, maintaining accurate records of all related documents. Leads the preparation of specialized compliance documents related to payroll, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards. Manages and responds promptly to customer and department emails related to payroll compliance, providing clear and accurate information. Proofreads documents, contracts, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, ensuring all materials are error-free and adhere to regulatory requirements. Provides support on payroll projects, contributing to the successful implementation and management of payroll initiatives.
What We're Looking For Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be combined with education to meet the requirements. 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and compliance, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws. Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer service orientation. Ability to work collaboratively with HR, finance, and other cross-functional teams. The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
