Summary:
Ensures that payroll functions are organized and processed timely, while making sure all regulations are being met. Work with limited supervision while providing an accurate and systemic payroll service.
Employment Requirements:
High school diploma required Technology skills: Required (WORD, EXCEL); Google Docs/Sheets Prefer experience with Indiana public school fund accounting Previous experience working in a payroll environment Excellent communications skills Excellent customer service skills, ability to resolve problems with internal and external customers Maintain regular and prompt attendance Eligible to be bonded Maintain appropriate appearance Classified Employee Confidentiality Statement As an employee of the South Madison Community School Corporation, some job duties may involve access to information/records that are considered confidential.
Essential Job Duties:
Maintain employee and payroll information within the Boyce payroll software Ensure payroll processing is completed accurately and timely biweekly Verify and enter hourly employee attendance and information using K-time/Willsub Prepare and submit: INPRS; State,County and Federal Taxes; IRS 941 reports; annual 100-R report; Indiana Workforce Development reports and comply with state and federal regulations Retain payroll records Process annual W-2 forms and reports to IRS and state Maintain proper reporting and documentation for the Indiana State Board of Accounts and retention schedule Communicate pertinent information to employees as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned by CFO/Corp. Treasurer Ability to multitask
