full-time Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization in the Overland Park area to identify a Payroll Analyst. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, conducting payroll audits, and supporting compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working within complex payroll environments. Key Responsibilities Process and review multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. Audit payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit withholdings. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Partner with HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll reporting. Prepare payroll-related reports, reconciliations, and analytics for management. Support month-end and year-end payroll processes, including W-2 reporting and payroll tax activities. Assist with process improvements and payroll system enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3+ years of payroll processing or payroll analysis experience. Experience supporting multi-state payroll environments. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, payroll taxes, garnishments, and wage laws. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with ERP, HRIS, or payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting. Background supporting large employee populations or high-volume payroll processing.
