HR & PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Job Summary The HR & Payroll Specialist will perform HR and payroll related duties to support employees, operations, and shared services.
Job Duties:
Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee related information and payroll/timekeeping records. Process garnishments, and child support orders (including QMCSO). Initiate direct deposits and prepare retirement and Health Savings Account files. Make all tax deposits and file payroll tax reports. Manage HR data and reporting. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action. Processes and distributes mail to HR and payroll team. Assists with creating new employee files, scanning and filing documents, and other clerical functions. Promotes workplace safety. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in HR, Accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience. At least two years of related experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of payroll software (Sage CRE 300) preferred. Experience with Certified Payroll preferred. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time. Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group is an equal opportunity employer.
