Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees, while addressing discrepancies and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with administrative staff and contribute to the organization's operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor budgets and establish employee pay rates to align with organizational financial goals.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between payroll records and billing data to maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff, support brokers, and the controller to address payroll-related issues and optimize processes.
  • Prepare and generate reports, correspondence, and documentation related to payroll activities.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize software tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to manage payroll data and create reports.
  • Ensure proper handling of garnishments, deductions, and other payroll adjustments as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all payroll-related documentation is up to date.
  • Address employee inquiries about payroll matters and provide timely resolutions.
