Job Description

Description Payroll and Tax Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll and Tax Specialist to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our company's financial accuracy and compliance, ensuring that payroll processes and tax obligations are managed efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Manage and reconcile payroll-related entries within the general ledger
  • Prepare and file tax reports, including payroll taxes, income taxes, and other relevant filings
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations and updates
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to maintain accurate financial records related to payroll and taxes
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation related to payroll and tax activities
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and payroll regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Support internal teams with payroll and tax-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and tax compliance
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in payroll and accounting software (e.g., ADP, SAP, QuickBooks)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
