A Payroll Administrator is responsible for administrative tasks relating to payroll, which may include keeping totals for hours worked by employees, rates of pay and managing payments to employees.

Basic Performance Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll Administer employee & retiree fringe benefits, such as health, dental, life, ltd, unemployment, & workers\' compensation insurance. Process benefit deduction payments to vendors on a monthly basis Bank Statement Reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records from source documents (warrants, payroll records, cash transactions) on the District?s financial software. Also, maintain required subsidiary records. Prepare interim & monthly reports as needed. Complete end-of-year closing & opening new fiscal year records. Assist the district?s independent auditor as needed to ensure that audit reports reflect the District?s financial position. Assist or prepare various State & Federal reports & prepare & issue
W-2, 1099 & 1095
forms. Coordinate activities of other employees of the Business Office to ensure accurate & timely job completions in the preparation of warrants & payrolls. File required sales & meal taxes. Assist in employee relations matters. Support & encourage the Employee Assistance Programs Review & implement updates to the bookkeeping system Attend regional meetings relative to financial records & computer operations as needed. Be able to problem solve & think outside the box Apprise the business administrator of any problem areas during the position\'s operation. Must be able to work independently of others with minimum supervision to accomplish job goals. Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent/Director or the Assistant Superintendent. The school has 15 technical programs in addition to academic studies. During two-week technical blocks students are under the close supervision of skilled technical instructors who stress safety & learning-by-doing. The technical shop atmosphere replicates the real-world environment that the successful graduate will experience on the job. During two-week academic blocks students participate in a wide-variety of challenging academic courses in English, math, social studies, science, physical education, health & wellness, technology, business & foreign language - Spanish. The rigor of the English, math & science curricula prepares our students for success on the state MCAS test. Students in grades 9 & 10 have English & math during both academic & technical blocks (they have them every day). Advanced academic courses are offered including AP courses. Many graduates go on to 2- & 4-year colleges & universities, while many others enter the skilled workforce. An adult education program in the evenings offers technical training & a variety of other classes to our communities.
