Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 120 employees, including hourly, salaried, and overtime-eligible staff, ensuring accurate and timely compensation while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Your expertise in payroll systems, timekeeping, payroll accounting, and employee data management will support our commitment to operational excellence and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Process payroll for ~120 employees, including hourly, salaried, and overtime-eligible staff ADP experience Accurately calculate overtime, shift differentials, on-call pay, travel time, commissions, bonuses, and prevailing wage where applicable Review and validate timecards submitted by field technicians and service teams Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws Manage payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxes Maintain employee payroll records, rate changes, and job costing data Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, status changes, and benefits deductions Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and audits Respond to employee payroll questions and provide excellent internal customer service Assist with workers' compensation reporting, union reporting (if applicable), and labor audits Partner with accounting to ensure accurate general ledger postings #RJAF123
