Job Description

Payroll Specialist - Certified The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, which includes setting up new hire schedules, reviewing timesheets, setting up and tracking garnishments, calculating retro pay based on anniversary date, processing withholding forms and PAL payout for terminated employees, and answering inquiries from employees. In addition, this position will reconcile 403B and submit the file to the bank, prepare the MD unemployment multiple worksite report, process reconciliation of taxes quarterly, as well as prepare and distribute W2, 1094C, and 1095C (Employer Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Form). Must be a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
Education:
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent in Business Administration/Accounting from a two-year college or technical school, OR Five (5) years of related work experience as a substitute for an AA degree.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Required Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in processing payroll.
  • Experience using the UKG (Kronos) payroll module is highly preferred. Supervision received from:
