Job Description
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing accounting software and PAYCOM systems. Maintain employee records, including data entry of new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure proper general ledger accounting practices are followed. Assists benefits programs by managing enrollments, changes, and terminations in accordance with company policies. Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management review and audits. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, benefits administration, and financial concepts. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.Qualifications:
Requires passing a Background Check MUST have proven experience in payroll, managing complex, high-volume payroll operations for a large workforce Requires a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles. A proven track record of long-term commitment and professional growth in previous positions. Strong references that highlight your tenure and performance over the years. Proficiency in accounting software and familiarity with PAYCOM are highly desirable (or familiarity with other payroll software e.g., PAYCHEX andPAYLOCITY
are acceptable). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office software. Prior experience working with a payroll system to process payroll for 400 or more employees is a plus. Knowledge of benefits administration processes and accounting regulations. Strong attention to detail with exceptional data entry skills to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.Salary:
