This is a vital, hands-on role responsible for the full-cycle payroll processing of a diverse campus population, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all departments. The Opportunity Pay:
$25.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Location:
Dearborn, MI (100% in-person)
Duration:
3 to 6-month contract assignment
Start Date:
June 1st Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be the point person for end-to-end payroll excellence.
Your day-to-day will include:
Full-Cycle Processing:
Managing payroll for all categories—ensuring everything is in total compliance with state and federal regulations.
Data Integrity:
Maintaining and auditing computerized payroll records, verifying timecards/contracts, and balancing all hours and earnings.
Deductions & Benefits:
Coordinating all voluntary and mandatory deductions (tax-sheltered annuities, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax updates).
Reporting & Compliance:
Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (941s, Michigan withholding, MPSERS, TIAA-CREF, and W-2s).
Financial Reconciliation:
Resolving discrepancies in payroll-related general ledger accounts and processing stop payments or off-cycle runs as needed.
Collaborative Communication:
Serving as a helpful resource for employees, supervisors, and union leaders regarding payroll inquiries and contract applications. What You'll Bring to the

Proven expertise in full-cycle payroll processing and a strong understanding of Federal and State payroll laws.
Technical Savvy:
Proficiency in computerized payroll systems and a willingness to work with IT on system improvements.

Adaptability:
A "team-player"mindset, ready to cross-train and assist colleagues during high-volume periods.
Organization:
