Job Description

Job Summary Effectively support day-to-day payroll functions and the Payroll Team to ensure that goals and standards of the department are being met. Provide complex issue resolution. Assist in analysis, development and evaluation of payroll operations. Essential Functions Supports the manager in planning and leading the daily operations of the Payroll department. Serves as team leader by providing direction and problem resolution when the manager is out of the office. Possesses in-depth knowledge of payroll and is a resource to team members. Engages in process and quality improvement. Makes and implements recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Assists the manager with the annual audits conducted by internal and external auditors. Assist Manager with payroll tax set up and reporting. Liaison with HRIS to support time and attendance and payroll processing applications. Facilitate training for the Payroll staff as it relates to payroll processes, procedures and systems. Technical documentation of payroll team procedures. Training of new Payroll staff. Generate and share comprehensive and detailed reports about Payroll production and Payroll staff performance. Communicates, collaborates and serves as system-wide consultation regarding payroll.
