Job Description
Job Overview Join Our Team Forrest Tax & Accounting Services is seeking a highly organized and dependable Accounting Admin to provide administrative support to our Bookkeeping and Payroll Departments. This role is responsible for keeping client files organized, requesting and managing documents, maintaining workflows, and ensuring our bookkeeping and payroll professionals have everything they need to efficiently serve clients. This is not an accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll processing position. Instead, this role focuses on organization, communication, document management, and workflow coordination. Responsibilities Request monthly bookkeeping and payroll documents from clients Download bank, credit card, and payroll reports Upload, organize, and maintain client documents in Canopy Prepare client files for the bookkeeping and payroll teams Monitor client portals for incoming documents Follow up with clients regarding missing or incomplete information Maintain accurate electronic client files Track monthly bookkeeping and payroll workflows and deadlines Assist with onboarding new bookkeeping and payroll clients Scan, organize, and archive client documents Perform data entry and document management Provide administrative support to the Bookkeeping and Payroll Departments Complete other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong computer and technology skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Ability to maintain confidentiality Office experience preferred Microsoft Office experience preferred We're Looking for Someone Who Loves organization and creating efficient systems Pays close attention to detail Takes initiative and follows through Learns new technology quickly Enjoys supporting a team behind the scenes Is dependable, punctual, and professional What This Position Does Not Do This position does not perform bookkeeping, process payroll, reconcile bank accounts, prepare payroll tax returns, prepare financial statements, prepare tax returns, or provide accounting or tax advice. The primary responsibility is providing administrative support to the Bookkeeping and Payroll Departments through document management, workflow coordination, and client communication.
