Job Description

Timekeeping Associate Position Summary The Timekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of employee work hours, leave, and attendance data. This role supports payroll processing by maintaining timekeeping systems, resolving discrepancies, and providing excellent customer service to employees and managers regarding time-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities Timekeeping Administration Monitor and maintain employee time and attendance records within the timekeeping system. Review and audit time entries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and labor regulations. Ensure employee work hours, leave balances, and attendance records are properly maintained. Employee & Manager Support Assist employees and managers with timekeeping-related questions and issues. Support timecard corrections, approvals, and system navigation. Provide timely and professional customer service regarding attendance and payroll-related inquiries. Payroll & HR Support Collaborate with Human Resources and Payroll teams to ensure accurate integration of timekeeping data into payroll processing. Identify, research, and resolve timekeeping discrepancies prior to payroll processing. Support onboarding and training efforts related to timekeeping procedures and systems. Reporting & Compliance Generate and distribute timekeeping reports for management review, payroll processing, and internal audits. Review records for compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws. Identify and escalate system issues, policy violations, or recurring discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders. Maintain confidentiality of employee information and adhere to all data protection standards. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, human resources, or a related administrative role. Experience working with timekeeping and attendance systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Associate degree or higher. Experience with timekeeping systems such as Kronos, UKG, ADP, Workday, or SAP . Experience supporting a large, multi-site organization. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws related to timekeeping, wage and hour compliance, and attendance management. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
