Payroll Clerk
JOB DESCRIPTION LINK
As a Clerk on SSD's Payroll team, you will help deliver one of the District's most important services by ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with your teammates and departments across the organization to process payroll information, maintain accurate records, and provide responsive support to employees. Through your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, you will help build confidence and trust in the payroll process while supporting the District's mission of serving students. Clerks work in our Central Office, 12110 Clayton Road, Town & Country, MO, 63131, Monday through Friday, typically from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred One to three years of progressively responsible payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial office experience preferred Experience using computerized payroll or financial management systems preferred Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office required Salary $22.41 to $25.87 based on experience Calendar 12-month position Benefits Group benefit plans for medical, vision, dental, and life insurance Enrollment in Missouri Public School Retirement Systems Paid holidays 15 PTO days per year 10 vacation days accrued annually Employee assistance program Healthcare spending account Special School District serves nearly 25,000 students and employs over 5,700 staff in St. Louis County.
