Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Jackson, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex payroll processes, including union and multi-state payroll, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for multiple companies, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Manage union payroll requirements, including pay differentials and specific contractual obligations.
• Handle multi-state payroll operations, staying current with state and federal regulations.
• Utilize QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records and generate reports.
• Serve as a backup for existing payroll team members, providing support during absences or high-volume periods.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor laws, and company policies related to payroll.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with accounting and administrative teams to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve any issues promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times.
