Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage and process payroll for our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Your expertise in payroll systems and accounting software will help maintain seamless payroll operations while safeguarding confidential employee information. Duties Process payroll using TimeTrex system, and other supported payroll platforms Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies during payroll processing Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for payroll transactions Manage benefits administration and coordinate with HRIS systems for accurate employee records Handle data entry tasks related to payroll, benefits, and time & attendance systems with precision Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensure secure handling of payroll data Assist with tax calculations, payroll tax filings, and audit preparations to guarantee compliance and accuracy Experience Proven experience in payroll management within a healthcare/hospital accounting or finance environment Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian or similar platforms Familiarity with HRIS systems and time & attendance software for efficient data tracking Solid understanding of employment law, tax law, labor law compliance, and financial concepts related to payroll processing Proficiency in spreadsheets, accounting software (Excel, QuickBooks or similar), and general ledger reconciliation techniques Ability to perform detailed analysis using spreadsheets and financial software for accurate reporting Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism Join us as a Payroll Clerk to play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws.
