Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees—including hourly, salaried, and tipped staff —using Paycom. Accurately apply TIP credit calculations , manage multiple pay rates , and validate POS (Point-of-Sale) system data transfers. Administer payroll components for commissions , incentive payouts, and recognition-based awards. Handle benefit deductions , insurance contributions, 401(k) plans, and related third-party vendor file exports. Validate and process PTO , Paid Sick Leave, FMLA, and other state-specific leave policies. Ensure multi-state payroll compliance , including garnishments, unemployment claims, and labor law updates. Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees regarding payroll questions, discrepancies, and process education. Collaborate closely with HR for onboarding/offboarding workflows, term letters, employment verification, background checks, and I-9 audits. Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll taxes and year-end reports including W-2s. Maintain secure and accurate employee payroll records and participate in internal and external payroll audits. Assist in annual review and salary adjustments, regularly audit and update employee files within Paycom.Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll processing experience (Paycom experience required). Experience processing payroll in a multi-state, multi-unit environment , especially for tipped or hourly employees. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local wage & hour laws, including TIP credit , wage deductions , and overtime. Strong experience with benefits processing , including open enrollment deductions and reconciliation. Comfortable with payroll software workflows, payroll batch editing, tax filings, and system integrations. Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred.
