$50,000 - $65,000 per year Job Details -Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for: 1. Managing the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll. 2. Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. 3. Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information. 4. Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this. 5. Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 6. Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests. 7. Maintaining payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. 8. Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. 9. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Payroll Administrator position will have: 1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the construction industry. 2. Advanced knowledge of construction accounting. 3. Proficiency with payroll software, and a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. 6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 7. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. 8. Certification from the American Payroll Association (APA) would be a plus. 9. A proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive information.A bit about us:
