Job Description

Rawson Inc Builders Supply is a distributor of building supply products. We are seeking to hire a first-shift, full time Payroll Admin.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Admin to join our accounting team. The Payroll Admin will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various financial software systems to support the payroll process effectively.
Responsibilities:
Process payrolls for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing payroll software such as Paylocity. Perform double entry bookkeeping and manage accounts payable related to payroll expenses. Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or concerns in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll practices. Accounts Payable Assist with month-end close process. Assist with year-end close process. Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role is preferred. Proficient in using payroll software (Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of accounting principles, particularly in relation to payroll management and accounts payable processes.
Education/Training/ Experience:
Associates degree in accounting (Preferred). Minimum 2 years previous payroll experience.
