Job Description

Description Join Our Team as a Payroll Specialist! We're excited to welcome a Payroll Specialist to our growing team. If you're highly detail-oriented, dependable, and take pride in accuracy, this could be your next great opportunity. This role is essential to keeping our organization running smoothly. You'll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving discrepancies, and supporting both employees and leadership, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As our Payroll Specialist, you'll manage the day-to-day payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality at every step. You'll work closely with Human Resources and Accounting to verify employee information, process payroll transactions, and maintain accurate records. Your attention to detail will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while providing employees with confidence in the payroll process. How You'll Make an Impact In this role, you will: Process payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly basis with accuracy and timeliness Collect, review, and verify timesheets and attendance records Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Process payroll adjustments and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files Prepare payroll-related reports for management and accounting Ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and benefits Support audits and maintain organized payroll documentation Requirements What You Bring We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with numbers in a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred) Experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting Familiarity with payroll software (Paylocity or similar systems preferred) Working knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Skills That Set You Apart Strong numerical and analytical abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Clear and professional communication skills Problem-solving mindset Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Work Environment This is an office-based position that may require additional hours during payroll cycles or year-end reporting periods.
