Job Overview The Institute of Knowledge (IOK) is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team. Based in Albany, New York, United States , this is a Full-Time position responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our organisation's payroll. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the staff who deliver our wide range of Islamic educational programmes and community services. As a key member of our administrative team, you will help IOK fulfil its mission to foster a finer future through high-quality programming. This role offers a competitive salary of $30 - $40 USD per hour . Responsibilities Manage and process end-to-end payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner. Collect, verify, and process timesheet information and attendance records. Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and any other pay adjustments. Ensure compliance with all US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations. Process new hires, terminations, and changes to employee pay and status. Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll information and employee records. Address and resolve any payroll-related queries or discrepancies from employees promptly and professionally. Prepare and generate payroll reports for management and accounting purposes. Assist with year-end payroll processes, including the production of W-2 forms. Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless operations. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll-focused role. A strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and US employment regulations. High proficiency in using payroll software and systems. Excellent numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A professional and proactive approach to problem-solving.
