Ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation thru the process of time collection, calculation of wages, processing deductions, and maintaining employee records. Key Responsibilities Ensure weekly/biweekly/semimonthly payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Enter and maintain payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, deductions, and benefits. Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits. Prepare payroll-related reports for clients and internal partners Support audits related to payroll, benefits, and labor compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred. 3 years of payroll or related administrative experience. Familiarity with wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and deductions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proven communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Preferred Skills Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Experience with multi-state payroll processing. Knowledge of garnishments, benefits deductions, and leave tracking. Work Environment Requires meeting strict payroll deadlines.
Sitting & Keyboarding:
Constant sitting for extended periods and intensive use of computers, calculators, and keyboards.
Communication:
Effective speech and hearing are required for interacting with clients, employees, staff, and management.
