Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage payroll processes, and ensure compliance with employment laws. You will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, handling confidential information with care. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll accurately and timely using UKG payroll system for 700+ employees. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws through diligent review of payroll tax calculations and labor regulations Manage time & attendance systems like Kronos or Time & Attendance to track employee hours and leave balances Handle sensitive confidential information with discretion while supporting payroll management. Assist in preparing journal entries related to payroll expenses and other financial transactions for governmental accounting purposes Experience Proven experience working with payroll systems (technically supported), including platforms like UKG, Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro Solid background in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, data entry accuracy, and financial reporting Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles including debits & credits and journal entries Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a vibrant team that values your expertise!
