In this vital role, you will manage payroll operations, maintain compliance with employment and labor laws, and collaborate with HR and finance departments to support organizational goals. Your expertise in payroll systems, accounting software, and regulatory requirements will drive efficiency and accuracy in our payroll processes. Duties Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other supported payroll platforms Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws related to payroll tax, labor law, and benefits administration Reconcile payroll data through spreadsheets, accounting software, and HRIS systems to guarantee accuracy Manage employee records including time & attendance data, benefits enrollment, and confidential personnel information Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions for general ledger accuracy Handle tax filings, payroll tax deposits, and year-end reporting in accordance with legal requirements Support audits by providing detailed reports on payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and tax compliance Collaborate with human resources on employment verification, labor law updates, and benefits administration Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing payroll data entry and processing tasks Skills Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, PeopleSoft or similar platforms Strong knowledge of employment & labor law as well as payroll tax regulations across jurisdictions Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and general ledger reconciliation tools Skilled in spreadsheet applications for data analysis and report generation Familiarity with HRIS systems for employee data management and benefits administration Understanding of time & attendance systems for accurate payroll processing Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing payroll management tasks effectively Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits within financial concepts Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping techniques Join us as a Payroll Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws.
