full-time Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Generalist to become a member of the Cleveland Operations Payroll Team. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will be results driven, have a client focus approach and will work well independently and as part of the project team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Uploading and processing of daily field timesheets. Assist in processing payroll information (e.g., new hires, re-hires, address changes, changes to tax withholdings). Assemble and provide new hire packets for job sites. E-Verify all new employees and re-hires. Collect and file new hire documents. Assist in obtaining updated rate sheets and reporting forms from locals. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed. Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards. Required Skills Knowledge of business finance including accounting principles and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments at one time and ability to multi-task. Excellent research and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards. Provide a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues. Work well while under pressure or in stressful situations. Must have proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and become familiar with payroll software and systems.
