This position is responsible for maintaining payroll data, preparing payroll-related reports and filings, and communicating with clients regarding routine payroll needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working with payroll systems, and committed to providing a high level of client service. We welcome candidates who need to work remotely as well as those who would like to work alongside our team in our Dayton office. Responsibilities Enter and maintain employee and employer payroll information, including data from timesheets and other payroll records. Process low- to medium-complexity client payrolls accurately and on schedule. Communicate with clients regarding routine payroll questions, information requests, and payroll needs. Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, reconciliations, W-2s, and 1099s. Maintain accurate payroll records and support resolution of discrepancies or issues. Work proficiently within the Firm's primary payroll systems, including ADP RUN and Paycor. Maintain confidentiality of employee, client, and payroll information. Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-5 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred. Prior experience with ADP RUN, Paycor, or similar payroll systems preferred. Experience preparing payroll tax filings, W-2s, and/or 1099s is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate questions or issues when appropriate. Willingness to learn and respond positively to training, coaching, and feedback. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. Strong client-service mindset with a genuine interest in helping others. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
