Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator and Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. In this essential role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process and support accounts payable functions, ensuring employees and vendors are paid accurately and on time. You will maintain accurate financial records, process invoices and payments, and help ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Duties Process payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule using specialized financial software. Maintain detailed payroll records, including tax filings, deductions, benefits, and compliance documentation. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure employee data is current and correct. Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant financial regulations during payroll processing. Conduct audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly. Prepare reports related to payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and regulatory compliance for management review. Stay informed about industry knowledge of financial regulations affecting payroll and implement necessary updates or changes. Requirements Proven experience in accounting, finance, or payroll administration with a strong understanding of financial model development and analysis skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes. Familiarity with Quickbooks software systems used for payroll processing and general accounting functions. Knowledge of industry standards such as GAAP, tax accounting, and financial regulatory compliance related to payroll. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong client communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and external agencies regarding payroll inquiries or issues. Experience with auditing processes and ensuring adherence to financial compliance standards within the industry.
