Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in North Lima, Ohio on a contract with the potential for a permanent position. This role involves managing high-volume payroll operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Enter, update, and audit payroll data, including timesheets and deductions.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Address employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure proper administration of benefits and deductions.
• Prepare payroll reports and support audit processes as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and assist with their implementation.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems to streamline operations.
