Position Summary The Kronos / UKG Pro WFM Business Lead (KBL) is responsible for providing functional ownership and operational support for the UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) solution across assigned locations and Operating Companies. This role supports both hourly manufacturing and non-manufacturing populations and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate time capture, payroll readiness, and compliant pay outcomes. The KBL serves as the primary liaison between local Operations, HR, Payroll, and centralized HR/Payroll Operations teams, supporting the end-to-end timekeeping lifecycle from daily execution through payroll submission. The role includes hands-on troubleshooting of production issues, active management of clocks and devices in partnership with local ITC, coordination of testing and deployments, and ongoing optimization of the UKG Pro WFM environment following Project Titan. This position does not have formal people management responsibility but requires strong functional leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization. Primary Responsibilities UKG Pro WFM Operational Ownership 
  • Serve as the functional owner for UKG Pro WFM for assigned locations and Operating Companies. 
  • Ensure system configuration aligns with pay, attendance, and operational policies. 
  • Support payroll operations by ensuring accurate, complete, and timely submission of time data. 
  • Monitor daily system health, including interfaces, integrations, and exception reporting. 
  • Provide payroll cycle support, including Monday payrolls. Timekeeping Systems, Integrations & Data Flow 
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of UKG Pro WFM integrations, including UKG Pro Payroll, SAP, and other downstream systems. 
  • Monitor and validate daily interfaces; troubleshoot failures and escalate with appropriate documentation. 
  • Identify and resolve demographic, pay rule, and configuration errors impacting payroll. Issue Management & Escalation 
  • Manage the ServiceNow ticket queue for assigned locations. 
  • Troubleshoot, document, and resolve issues within SLAs or escalate as needed. 
  • Perform root-cause analysis and partner with Payroll, HR IT, and UKG on sustainable fixes. Clocks & Devices 
  • Actively support and troubleshoot physical clocks and timekeeping devices in partnership with local ITC. 
  • Coordinate device troubleshooting, restarts, and vendor engagement as required. Change Management, Testing & Deployments 
  • Coordinate and support testing for UKG Pro WFM changes, enhancements, and releases 
  • Log incident forms, non-configuration requests, and configuration change requests in ServiceNow. 
  • Partner with Payroll, HR Operations, HR IT, and locations to execute deployments. 
  • Represent location needs in Time Management Work Groups and Portfolio forums. Policy, Compliance & Audit Support 
  • Maintain strong understanding of location pay and attendance policies and their WFM configuration. 
  • Support wage and hour compliance and audit requirements. 
  • Provide reporting and documentation for audits, legal, and compliance reviews. Continuous Improvement & Optimization 
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll readiness, accuracy, and operational efficiency. 
  • Partner with locations to streamline processes and reduce manual effort. 
  • Support stabilization and optimization of the UKG Pro WFM environment post-Project Titan. Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 
  • Advanced functional knowledge of UKG Pro WFM (Kronos) 
  • Strong understanding of payroll preparation and timekeeping dependencies 
  • Experience supporting system testing and deployments 
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll, HR, IT, or operational support experience 
  • Field or plant experience preferred
