Job Description

BURGETTSTOWN AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
Payroll Specialist The Burgettstown Area School District, located in Washington County, Pa., seeks a qualified Payroll Specialist to join the District's Business Office. This full-time, confidential position reports directly to the Business Manager. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner and maintaining payroll records in compliance with district policies, contracts, and applicable regulations. Duties include calculating wages and deductions, preparing payroll reports, coordinating benefits and retirement reporting (PSERS), reconciling payroll accounts, and assisting with audits. The position requires strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience in payroll, accounting, or school business of fice operations preferred
