  • King of Prussia, PA AllSearch Recruiting is working with a commercial construction organization seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in King of Prussia, PA.
This position is responsible for processing payroll, administering certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting, maintaining payroll compliance, supporting HRIS administration, and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The role works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and project management to support payroll operations for both standard and government-funded construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and within established deadlines. Review employee timesheets, pay rates, overtime, deductions, reimbursements, payroll adjustments, per diem payments, bonuses, and wage garnishments prior to payroll processing. Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies. Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage and hour laws. Administer the company timekeeping system and audit employee time records for accuracy and completeness. Maintain employee PTO balances, including vacation, sick leave, and other leave programs. Work with supervisors and employees to resolve missing or inaccurate time records. Prepare certified payroll reports for public works and government-funded construction projects. Verify employee classifications, prevailing wage rates, fringe benefits, labor classifications, and labor compliance requirements. Maintain documentation supporting certified payroll submissions. Monitor prevailing wage regulation updates and implement changes as required. Assist with payroll audits, prevailing wage audits, and labor compliance reporting. Coordinate payroll tax filings and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements. Support quarterly and year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation. Maintain employee records within the HRIS and payroll system. Process new hires, terminations, compensation changes, employee status updates, and payroll-related HRIS transactions. Generate payroll, labor, and workforce reports for management. Support HRIS system implementations, upgrades, testing, and payroll system enhancements. Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee payroll inquiries, direct deposit, payroll deductions, tax forms, and timekeeping questions. Partner with Human Resources and Finance to resolve payroll-related issues.
Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll administration experience. Experience processing certified payroll for commercial construction or public works projects. Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations and certified payroll reporting. Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage and hour laws. Experience using payroll and HRIS systems such as ADP, Paycor, UKG, or similar payroll platforms. Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 65k
