Job Description

```Duties```
  • Prepare and process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy
  • Calculate and process deductions, such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Maintain employee records and update changes in employment status
  • Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns , w2s , sales tax returns and 1099s ```Qualifications```
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. Preferred public accounting area
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
  • Proficient in data entry and using payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent 10-key typing skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and basic financial concepts
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
