Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Payroll Admin and become a vital part of our finance and human resources operations! In this energetic role, you will support payroll processing, ensure compliance with labor and tax laws, and manage sensitive employee data with accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately Enter and verify data related to employee hours, benefits, tax information, and deductions within various HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software. Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger accounting purposes. Ensure compliance with employment law, labor law regulations, and tax law requirements related to payroll processing. Maintain confidential employee information with integrity and handle sensitive data responsibly. Assist with benefits administration tasks including enrollment updates and benefits deductions. Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and vendor payments. Skills Proficiency with payroll Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Experience with HRIS systems and time & attendance management software is highly desirable. Familiarity with employment & labor law, tax law, payroll tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards. Excellent data entry skills using spreadsheets and financial software; ability to perform analysis using Excel or similar tools. Understanding of benefits administration processes and non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of performing account reconciliation and analysis efficiently.
