Hunter Hamilton is partnering with a respected organization seeking a Payroll Analyst to support a critical UKG to Workday payroll implementation . This is a hands-on, project-driven opportunity expected to run ASAP through October , with a hybrid schedule (approximately 2 days onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, IL ). Why This Opportunity Stands Out Be part of a major payroll transformation project High-visibility role supporting a UKG to Workday conversion Competitive hourly pay with weekly paychecks Direct deposit Temporary health benefits available Hybrid flexibility: approximately 2 days onsite / 3 remote Opportunity to make an immediate impact through October What You'll Do Payroll Processing & Validation Support end-to-end payroll processing in Workday Payroll for multi-state employee populations Review and validate payroll inputs including: Time results Earnings and deductions Benefits Garnishments Retroactive payments Identify, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly Perform payroll reconciliations and balance validations Assist with employee payroll questions during transition and stabilization phases Workday Testing & Implementation Support Participate in: Unit Testing Integration Testing Parallel Payroll Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Execute test scenarios for: Earnings & deductions Retro pay / off-cycle payrolls Multi-state tax setup Time Tracking & Absence impacts Reconcile results between Workday and UKG Document defects, validation results, and testing outcomes Support issue resolution, retesting, cutover planning, and go-live readiness Assist with early production payroll cycles after launch Compliance & Documentation Maintain testing logs and payroll documentation Ensure payroll practices align with federal, state, and local regulations What We're Looking For Required 3+ years of payroll experience Hands-on Workday Payroll experience ( required ) Experience supporting Workday implementations, testing, or go-live stabilization Multi-state payroll processing experience Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage/hour compliance, and reconciliations Advanced Excel skills ( pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas ) Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven project setting Preferred Experience with UKG Pro / Ultipro / Dimensions / Ready Prior UKG Workday conversion experience Familiarity with Workday Time Tracking, Benefits, or Absence CPP or FPC certification #LI-JC4 The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
