Jobs › Quincy, MA › Payroll Clerk Robert Half Payroll Clerk Quincy, MA Apply Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a client based in Quincy, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity is fully remote and offers approximately 5 hours of work per week. The person in this role will help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule while supporting payroll records, deductions, and compliance activities. This position is well suited to someone with hands-on payroll experience and strong familiarity with ADP payroll systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process recurring payroll accurately and within established deadlines using ADP payroll systems.
• Review employee time and pay data for completeness and resolve discrepancies before finalizing payroll.
• Maintain up-to-date payroll records, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and benefit-related changes.
• Respond to employee questions related to pay, withholdings, and payroll adjustments in a timely manner.
• Partner with HR and finance teams to investigate and correct payroll issues while supporting smooth payroll operations.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and supporting documentation for internal review and compliance purposes.
• Administer garnishment payments and benefit deductions in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including tax documentation and related filings. Requirements
• Experience processing payroll from start to finish in a detail-focused business environment.
• Proficiency with ADP payroll software and confidence working within payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll practices, including deductions, garnishments, and employee pay record maintenance.
• Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and payroll compliance standards.
• Ability to review payroll data carefully and identify inaccuracies before processing is completed.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to address employee payroll questions clearly and effectively.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with limited weekly hours.
