About the Opportunity We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our Payroll team. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a designated group of employees while supporting payroll compliance, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives. As part of the Payroll team, you will report to the Payroll Manager and work closely with Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, and employees across the organization. This position is hybrid and can be based in either Portland, OR or the Puget Sound region. This position will require occasional travel to support integration and team cohesion. Your Role on the
Team:
Process bi-weekly payroll for a designated group of employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Review and support employee timekeeping, including troubleshooting timesheet issues and partnering with managers to ensure timely approval Review, audit, and reconcile payroll data, including employee changes, earnings, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping information. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing responsive and high-quality customer service. Maintain payroll records, generate payroll reports, and support internal and external audits as needed. Partner with the Payroll Manager and team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and support payroll-related projects and initiatives. What You Bring to the
Team:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance requirements. Experience using ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll system. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Strong attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring payroll deadlines.
