Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role involves managing payroll processes efficiently, ensuring compliance with labor and tax laws, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. The ideal candidate will be passionate about accuracy, possess strong technical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's payroll operations, contributing to employee satisfaction and organizational compliance. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and on time using various payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other HRIS platforms Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper journal entries in the general ledger Maintain and update employee records within HR systems and payroll software Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and tax requirements by staying current on relevant legislation Manage payroll tax filings and ensure timely submission of reports to appropriate authorities Collaborate with HR and finance teams to verify employee data, benefits deductions, and time & attendance records Handle confidential information with integrity while providing exceptional support for payroll inquiries and audits Requirements Proven experience with payroll management and processing in a corporate or non-profit setting Proficiency in payroll systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian; familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus Strong understanding of employment & labor law, tax law, and payroll tax regulations Skilled in spreadsheets, accounting software, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits with precision Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail and organizational ability Experience handling confidential information responsibly while maintaining compliance with legal standards Join us as a Payroll Coordinator to ensure seamless payroll operations that empower our employees and uphold our commitment to compliance.
