This position works under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Business Processes & Efficiency, and assists with payroll preparation, auditing, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable payroll laws, policies, and procedures. The Payroll Specialist serves as a key support role in ensuring payroll processes operate efficiently while providing excellent customer service to team members and department leaders.

Process payroll for multiple entities in accordance with established payroll schedules and procedures. Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, pay adjustments, bonuses, gratuities, deductions, taxes, and benefit withholdings. Audit payroll records, troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain payroll records, reports, and support documentation in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations. Assist team members and managers with payroll-related questions and concerns. Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance departments regarding employee status changes, wage adjustments, and payroll updates. Prepare payroll reports and assist with data analysis as requested. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and payroll regulations. Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and payroll reconciliations. Maintain confidentiality of payroll, financial, and personnel information. Support process improvements and payroll efficiency initiatives. Perform all other duties as assigned. What you'll need to succeed in this role:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and payroll-related regulations. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Advanced skill in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel. Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems required. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Training:
Minimum of two (2) years of payroll processing or payroll support experience Experience processing payroll for multiple entities or locations preferred. Experience with Paycom or similar payroll systems preferred. Gaming, hospitality, or multi-location operational experience preferred. Must be able to pass Title 31
Training Licenses/Certifications/Other:
Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable, to perform the essential job functions Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result
Pay:
$63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
