Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll processes for a multi-state workforce. This position offers both on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle payroll for a workforce of over 1,800 employees across multiple states.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to accurately process payroll and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with the payroll clerk and other team members to address payroll issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Verify employee data and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Handle payroll audits and reporting to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Assist with payroll-related projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide on-site support as needed while maintaining remote work capabilities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations. Requirements
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably for large organizations.
• Expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations.
• Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle payroll discrepancies.
• Availability to work both remotely and on-site as required.
