Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll processes for a multi-state workforce. This position offers both on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle payroll for a workforce of over 1,800 employees across multiple states.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to accurately process payroll and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the payroll clerk and other team members to address payroll issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Verify employee data and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Handle payroll audits and reporting to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist with payroll-related projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Provide on-site support as needed while maintaining remote work capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations. Requirements
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably for large organizations.
- Expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations.
- Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle payroll discrepancies.
- Availability to work both remotely and on-site as required.
