PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days remote) $55,000- $70,000 Are you a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? We're partnering with a well-established, global organization that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its growing payroll team. The company offers a flexible hybrid schedule, a supportive leadership team, and the opportunity to work with experienced payroll professionals in a collaborative environment.
OVERVIEW OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE
Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,600-1,700 employees across multiple payroll groups. Process payroll accurately using ADP Workforce Now . Review and audit payroll data, ensuring accuracy before payroll submission. Process employee reimbursements through Concur. Generate payroll reports using ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager. Assist with multi-state payroll processing, including employees in California and other states. Coordinate with third-party payroll providers for Canadian and UK payroll processing. Review time and attendance data and resolve payroll discrepancies. Support payroll funding file preparation and related payroll activities. Respond to employee payroll questions and provide exceptional customer service. Partner with the Payroll Manager on payroll projects and process improvements. Maintain confidentiality while ensuring compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST
3-5+ years of payroll processing experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred. Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment. Knowledge of payroll laws and payroll best practices. Experience with timekeeping systems is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Analytical mindset with a desire to understand payroll processes—not simply complete tasks. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. #
